Why play this game: Dragon’s Curse seemed to be an unsung hero for the TurboGrafx-16. Although the Sega Master System version, Wonder Boy III: The Dragon’s Trap, was awarded EGM’s Game of the Year for 1989. For some reason the developer Westone required that the title to this edition of Wonder Boy be altered for the release on TurboGrafx-16.
This game has it all, great control, awesome graphics, great music, big bosses, a bunch of equipment that you have to find, secrets, and a good ending.

This title has been preserved in the lineup for the Wii console. Comparisons to this game include: Kid Icarus, Zelda II, Metroid, Super Mario Bros., Blaster Master, and Goonies. Fans of Solomon’s Key might be suprised when they find the Lucky Sword - I’ll leave it at that.
Dragon’s Curse takes anywhere from 4 to 7 hours to complete, depending on how many items you want to collect.
