Why play this game: Military Madness, also known as Nectaris, is a highly addictive turn based strategy game. If you like chess you might like Military Madness.
A very nice animation opens the game, including a series of anime stills. The game starts with 16 maps. At the completion of each map, you are awarded the code name for the next map. After you’ve finished the game, you are awarded 16 bonus maps which are identical as the first 16, but the scenarios are more challenging. Fans of low-rez animation will appreciate the nice explosion in the game’s ending.
This isn’t the type of game that you can rip through in an afternoon. Although I didn’t note the times, I expect that playing through all 32 maps could take anywhere from 10 to 14 hours.
Notes on issues with copying Neo Nectaris.
