Why play this game: Ordyne is a fun and colorful carnival-like shooter created by our friends at Namco. Naturally Pac-Man does make an appeance in this game, in one of the power-up items.
The game feels like it is for a younger crowd, it's very kiddie-ish, cartoony, and seems quite easy. That is until you get to the later levels, where it starts to feel more like R-Type in difficulty, although the levels aren’t quite as long. It's the style of this game that makes it great as a shooter.
Ordyne is a rare exception in that the arcade version, compared to the Turbo verion, has better graphics and sound. The graphics are really nice in both versions, the music is wacky (in a good way), and the ending is great.
